Miss Ashley II being worked on in the pits in September 1998, the second year Gary Levitz raced her at Reno. Man, she was sweet. Her Learjet wing and horizontal tail gave her a distinctive look banking around the pylons, much different from stock Mustang wings. She was officially known as a North American / Rogers P-51R. Her Rolls Royce Griffon engine gave her a distinctive sound, too. She sounded like she was purring, compared to the smaller Rolls Royce Merlins screaming in the Mustangs.
