Shopzilla
(parody lyrics by Chris Watson, Copyright ©.)
This is a parody of the Blue Öyster Cult song Godzilla. Look out, shoppers! Back in the 1980s I came up with the idea of Shopzilla, a Godzilla who is a shopping lady. The lyrics are very close to the original song.
Lyrics
[verse]
With a purse in her hand and a terrible sound,
she pulls the spitting high-tension buyers down.
[verse]
Helpless people in shopping malls
scream, bug-eyed, as she looks in on them.
[verse]
She picks up a dress and she throws it back down
as she wades through the buildings toward the center of town.
[chorus]
Oh No! They say she's got to go. Go, Go Shopzilla!
Oh well, there's another sale! Go, Go Shopzilla!
[instrumental break]
[chorus]
Oh No! They say she's got to go. Go, Go Shopzilla!
Oh well, there's another sale! Go, Go Shopzilla!
[verse]
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
