Sunny the Soccer Cat on December 13, 2020
Sunny the Soccer Cat shows camera awareness in this video along with his excellent soccer skills. Witchy Poo declines to dance until my bribe is doubled.
I recently placed the camera behind the stick beside the goal for a new viewpoint for videos. I like it because you can see Sunny's face and front paws as he runs the ball towards the goal. Throughout the video the left side of the screen has that side of the goal covering it. There are cute shots of Sunny's face as he seems to deliberately aim the ball towards the camera on his second run, after I had suggested that might be a good thing to do.
In the video, watch for clues of Witchy Poo such as the shadow of a tail on the wall behind Sunny when no other cat is visible. She gets up when Sunny quickly moves the ball. It goes outside, and she settles back down. She does jump down when he makes the goal in the end, but holds out for a bigger bonus before she deigns to dance for us. Her back paws are barely visible bottom right of the screen at the end of this video, but she can be seen dancing.
The original footage was seven seconds short of seven minutes long. I trimmed it to just over three minutes, but all the clips are in the sequence they occurred. Lately Sunny has had a renaissance of athleticism, playing more frequently and vigorously than ever before. I want to film every possible moment, and sometimes I leave the camera running for a while. I miss a lot though. Sunny seems at the top of his game now. I am so grateful to him for so many things.
