The Making of S'mores Loves Sunny
In July 2018 a text chat developed into the idea for a motion picture about a calico cat who falls in love with a soccer cat. Jennifer Lawrence and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are immediately thought of as possible leads. Both make it into the proposed movie, although the role The Rock gets is unexpected.
Jennifer Lawrence plays S'mores; Channing Tatum stars as Sunny the Soccer Cat, and Ben Affleck is his trusted sidekick Seer. Angelina Jolie also contributes to this movie. Quentin Tarantino was recruited to direct it, but tragedy struck at the end of August 2018.
Seer was Sunny's companion for eight years before Sunny became the Soccer Cat, and for two years afterwards until he suddenly passed at eleven years old. The movie was in pre-production when Seer's unexpected death shut things down. The video clip on YouTube not only has transcripts of chats about casting the movie but also has clips of Jennifer Lawrence, The Rock and Angelina Jolie discussing their roles.
